Great Composter - Well built and does the job!

Comment:
I bought this at my local hardware / garden supply for $49.
Assembly was a SNAP - literally! Once put together it is pretty sturdy, as the corners are reinforced with snap-in ties and those "orange" tabs on the corner actually do a good job at holding the corners together very securely - who says they don't? However, it is NOT a tank! It IS a composter, so it is not built for you to sit or stand on it or kick it around or to abuse it. It does the job. Just like a simple compost pile does its job and there is not necessarily a super-strong structure around it. HAPPY COMPOSTING TO YOU ALL!
Comment:
This composter is made of thin plastic. The corners do not stay together. Hard to put together. It is not worth the $50 I paid. I am looking for something that stays together and keeps out critters.

Comment:
If you look at one of the pics you'll see what look like small red/orange spots at the corners. These are little tabs that are supposed to hold the corners together. As one reviewer said ... they don't. The box just falls apart at the corners no matter how you try to reinforce it, and no matter how gently you fill the box. I am a very experienced gardener/composter and good with tools. I can find SOME use for almost everything I have ever purchased for the garden. Well, I met my match. Keter should be ashamed for putting this piece of junk on the market. It's not worth 88 cents, and it's not worth the one star that I was forced to give it.
By the way, other than falling apart, it's a nice box.
Comment:
Part of the plastic was broken upon arrival, and I'm not sure if this contributed to how sturdy it should be. When I put compostable stuff in, the back just popped open. There is no way to fix this once I put stuff in there too, without taking it apart, washing it down, and then it would likely just happen again. So I haven't figured out a fix yet, but I'll give it time and then try to seal it by wrapping it.

Comment:
We just put our composter together, and every corner near the bottom is broken right out of the box. There is a big split up the side. So how long do we expect this to last. not very. its not worth the $88 we paid for it.
