This tool works great! I found it to be much safer than a gas chain saw because the jaws contain the branches, keeping them from jumping and keeping the saw in contact with the branch. I highly recommend this tool for pruning.

This alligator lopper was purchased, by request, for my neighbor, an older woman, who lives in a cabin in the mountains. She uses it to cut up downed small trees for firewood and to trim her standing trees. It is so much easier than using a hand saw. The beauty of it is that I'm going to be able to borrow it to cut up my own small downed trees.

I did the old method of manual saw . Took too long. So I gave this a try. This product is amazing. cuts branches like butter! now you can't use this for bottom trunks of a tree . It is only best for thick branches like diameter of a girl's softball.
It is also very safe to use . It requires you to press both buttons on each handles so you always going to use both hands. If you have a chain saw you can use one hand but sometimes you might not be too careful. It has edge guard so it's really good for safety. You can also pick branches up and chop it down which is something a chainsaw can't do. You pick it up like chopsticks and just chop away.
It's so easy that it makes it fun!
