Great Shovel for Heavy Snow

Comment:
Great Shovel for really heavy or thick snow otherwise I use the tradition straight shaft version of this same shovel

Comment:
I cannot tell you how great this shovel is. I'm in the DC area and we caught two huge snowstorms. This shovel had arrived a week earlier.
The snow was heavy and packed from the plows. It cut through the snow and ice with less effort then any shovel I've had in the past. The lifting was definitely easier thanks to the design and in no time I was making a nice track through 4 feet of snow.
I'm not a young woman so this was a godsend. Well done Amazon for the quick delivery and Suncast for a well thought out product.

Comment:
The problem I found with the shovel is minor but the shovel part is kind of flimsy. I was trying to break some ice loose on my deck under the snow and all it would do is bend. It worked eventually but I am not sure and I was afraid if I did it too hard if it would break. The shovel is fantastic to use on dry snow and I had my deck clean in no time. Even though the tip is metal I found that if you do it right than there is no concern of messing up your deck. Too much force when shoveling of course will probably scratch your deck up. I even used this to get my car unstuck from my driveway and I found it really digs into the snow very well and so far I have been pretty hard on it and no problems. As far as wet snow which we had recently with snow then ice then snow and then ice again it was hard to get the shovel underneath it and all I could do was scrape the top off and do it in layers. Took a little longer but once I got a good spot started I could get everything shoveled eventually. It is a little better on your back since you don't have to bend as much but I found after doing it awhile my back was hurting which I found to be normal when I shovel snow. I am pretty careful about my back but shoveling snow for awhile is pretty exhausting. Great shovel nonetheless and I am very glad I found a good shovel for a good price.

Not pain-free, but definitely better than before!

Comment:
I purchased this snow shovel specifically for the ergonomic factor. We had a storm here in Cincinnati and there were none left in the stores! I'm about 6'2" tall, so I still had to "hunch" over a little while shoveling, but not as a bad as before with a straight-handle design.

Perfect Snow Shovel

Comment:
Well I laughed when I had to buy a snow shovel off the internet.
So we get 8" of snow and I get a chance to use this very ergonomic shovel.
This made snow shovelling so much easier, it is solid, and well built.
I highly recommend it !
